I wrongfully accused a guy of harassing me. I reported the guy to Management. I alleged that he was being excessively nice & flirty and then vindictive when I didn’t respond. Management dismissed the claims anyway. But I feel like a jack*ss; crawl into a cave & disappear but I see him now & then. How incredibly embarassed would you be? 1 – 10?

1200%,that would be 10 on a scale of 10.it’s imbarassing but dont worry you will get over this temporary phase.just have faith in yourself that you didnt do anything wrong & believe in God because he’s just testing your patience & endurance skills.
Just hang on in there & you’ll sail through it.
GOOD LUCK

3Should of had your facts first before reacting and wrongfully accusing this innocent guy. From 1 – 10, I would say it is a 10, I’d be very embarrassed and would apologize to this guy.

5I would be really embrassed if he knew. Does he know? If he does you should tell him you are sorry? Make up some crazy **** like I was on meds that week or something? Just kidding. Seriously, if you have to deal with him, you need to clear the air. It is a 5.

10How does someone ‘wrongfully’ accuse someone of harassing you?
Is there any proof to show that he didn’t or he truly did harass you in anyway possible?
If you felt harassed you were most likely harassed unless you had a pre-mediated angst against him and you just wanted to mess up his work situation. Then you shouldn’t be feeling embarrassment, you should be feeling guilty and just down right bad.
Scary, I don’t think I’ll ever talk to a woman or look at a woman at my workplace again :X

14Why did the management dismiss the claim? Was he vindictive? Not sure you should be embarrassed, maybe pissed they didn’t take it seriously.

17you did what you had to do and what you thought was right at the time, it was nothing wrong with that, just continue with your day, and it continues to happen, keep reporting it and keep a journal of what happens daily. good luck

20Well, I wouldn’t be embarrassed at all because I would NEVER report somebody for being “excessively nice and flirty”. What were you hoping to accomplish? Were you hoping to get him fired?

2110! How could you have let the “situation” get that far out of hand? You need to apologize and try and make things right.

30Just because management dismissed it, doesnt mean he didnt do it. You know in your heart rather he was or not. Obviously you felt like he was and you did the right thing. You should be pround of yourself, not embarrassed.
